Aron Bastiaan Vink

Aron Bastiaan Vink, MSc, is a researcher at Diabeter, where he has been working since April 2026. He completed both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences with a research specialization at Leiden University.

Prior to joining Diabeter, he worked as a clinical research coordinator at the cardiology department of the HagaZiekenhuis. He also completed an internship in the Department of Hematology at the HagaZiekenhuis as a clinical data manager, where he contributed to the set-up and execution of a retrospective study. Additional internships were completed at the Juliana Kinderziekenhuis and the Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR).

At Diabeter, Aron supports and coordinates clinical research in type 1 diabetes. His work includes the preparation and maintenance of study documentation, coordination of research activities, support of ongoing clinical studies, and collaboration with internal and external research partners.

He is motivated by the role of clinical research in improving healthcare through clinical research and contributes to studies aimed at enhancing outcomes and quality of life for people living with type 1 diabetes.
