October 18 – 21, 2023 – the international society for pediatric and adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD) held their annual congress in Rotterdam, the “hometown” of Diabeter clinics in the Netherlands. This was the perfect opportunity to open our doors to healthcare providers and advocates for people with type 1 diabetes from around the world, show them around our clinic and explain our holistic, patient-centric, technology-focused approach to diabetes care.
Diabetes+, a well-known diabetes advocacy group in the Netherlands, helped to moderate the sessions and reinforcing the importance of peer-to-peer support for children, adolescents, and their families as they navigate their diabetes journey.
Diabeter played a significant role in this year’s ISPAD congress– with team members involved in the congress organization and being active as speakers, chairing sessions and presenting research around Diabetes care and how we are delivering value-based healthcare.

Since launching in 2006 by two diabetologists in Rotterdam, Diabeter’s innovative care model has demonstrated its impact on patient outcomes and efficiency and was recognized with the Value-Based-Health-Care award in 2017 and included in the World Economic Forum Global Innovation Hub for Value in Healthcare.
