Daniël van Raalte
Daniël van Raalte, MD, PhD, is an internist-endocrinologist and Professor of Medicine who combines clinical care at the Diabeter Centre Amsterdam with academic and research activities at Amsterdam UMC / Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. His work focuses on improving the understanding and treatment of diabetes, including mechanisms and complications relevant to type 1 diabetes.
His research includes clinical phenotyping and therapeutic studies addressing metabolic and vascular complications of diabetes. In parallel, he is actively involved in medical education and the supervision of clinicians and researchers within the field of diabetology.
By working across clinical practice and academic research, Daniël contributes to the translation of scientific insights into everyday diabetes care.
